A series of the Rydberg states of Ag in quantum numbers n=22 to 60 produced by a three-step selective excitation process using three tunable dye lasers is measured. It is found that the least squares fitting of the Rydberg formula to the observed Rydberg series yields the ionization potential of E i=61104.3 cm-1±0.06 cm-1.
