We have studied an efficient interconnecting layer (TR-E314:Li/LGC101:NPB), in stacked organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). The interconnecting layer is applied to stacked blue OLEDs that have two emission units. The efficiency of this OLED is twice that of the single-unit device. The current, power efficiency, and operating voltage of the blue OLED reached 14.6 cd/A, 7.3 lm/W, and 6.3 V, respectively, at 10 mA/cm2. The Commission Internationale d'Eclairage (CIE) coordinates of the stacked OLED device are (0.128, 0.228). The 20% decay lifetime (t0.8) of the stacked OLED (366 h) is 4.4 times that of the single-unit OLED.
