High Temperature Series Expansions with a Multiple-Exchange Hamiltonian for the bcc and hcp Phases of Solid 3He

High temperature series expansions with a multiple-exchange Hamiltonian are performed to fourth order in arbitrary magnetic field for both phases of solid 3 He. The susceptibility series are analysed with Padé approximants and compared with recent experimental results. For the hcp phase we estimate the ferromagnetic ordering temperature from susceptibility series and discuss the influence of four-particle exchange in lowering the transition.
